 THE HOME BUTTON GUARD

DESIGNED TO KEEP THE HOME BUTTON FROM BEING PRESSED WHILE IN YOUR POCKET OR PURSE AND WAKING UP YOUR PHONE

INVENTED BY DANIEL HAYS 407-288-3828

The accidental waking up of your phone is mainly due to the home button being slightly higher than the screen it self, allowing it to easily be pressed while in your pocket or purse.

The "HOME BUTTON GUARD" is a rigid piece of plastic that is thicker than the height of the home button with a peel and stick bottom side. Just clean the surface of the screen around the home button and stick the guard around the button without it touching the button itself so it does not restrict the buttons pressing or retracting back up after being pressed by your finger.

The Home Button Guard should ship with an an application tool, like a post-it note or perfect sized piece of paper or plastic that can be rolled up enough to fit inside the hole of the guard and then be unrolled while inside to fit snug against the inside edge of the hole, then be held down over the home button outer edge so the peel and stick side can be slid down over the paper onto the cleaned surface of the screen around the button without touching the button itself. This is to prevent sticking the guard on incorrectly and possibly interfering with the function of the button. The peel and stick adhesive should be strong enough to prevent it from slipping or sliding after the application but still able to be removed or replaced with the use of a razor blade without damaging the screen..

Here are some pictures of the "HOME BUTTON GUARD". It is available in silver, white, black, gold, red, blue and clear. It should be available in a variety of shapes and thickness so it can be used on any Samsung phone where the home button may differ in size and shape.

Everyone I know that has a Samsung phone has had the problem of it waking up in their pocket and calling someone or changing settings. I use a swipe pattern to get to my home screen but somehow it can still gets past it while in my pocket. I can’t tell you how many times my Galaxy S5 has done strange things while in my pocket, like calling 911 on three different occasions, calling other people so they can hear what I’m saying without me knowing, changing my preferred home screen, removing widgets, you name it, it’s probably happened to someone. This Home Button guard will GREATLY reduce the ability for this button to be presses while in your pocket or purse.
